Sra. De Saguier was the wife of J. E. Saguier, one of the directors of Banco Nacional del Paraguay. She appears on the 20 Pesos Fuertes banknote issued in the 1880s. Her appearance on the currency was unusual for the era and reflects the personal connections and family networks that were important in Paraguay's small post-war elite. The banknote also features a harbour scene vignette from the 'Tall Ships, In Harbour' series used by the American Bank Note Company.
